Rodan Builders, Inc. and SVA Architects were awarded the Design/Build project for Washington High School's New Science Building. The scope of this project included two new buildings on an existing and historic campus. A new 12,000 square-foot science building with six science laboratories and four standard classrooms was built on the active campus. One major design element for this project was blending the new and modern building into the historic campus, we accomplished this by using brickwork and arches that tied into the historic elements of the existing buildings. All necessary parking for staff and ADA accessible site work to tie into the existing campus were also completed. In addition to the science building, a separate building housing two classrooms was constructed in 70 days during the summer of 2017.
