Rodan first emerged in 2005 when the two founding partners, Dan Oliver and Rory Morgan, came together with the idea that the construction process should not be a painful experience. They knew that the right planning and execution, mixed with great people, would create a positive experience for our clients. “To us it was all about finding the right people that fit our culture; people who are honest, hardworking, humble, and who value client relationships.”
The company started out doing projects that others thought were too difficult, or had a tight schedule. This is one of the reasons Rodan was able to make it through the country’s worst economic collapse in decades. The main reason Rodan made it is because of Dan Oliver and all of our workers in the field. Dan developed some unique strategies and moved to implement them, and grow the company while others were closing their doors. Holding true to his word that the right people, plus building on our client and sub relationships, would be the right recipe for success.
2010 ended up being one of the worst years for construction companies. Most were running out of work on their backlog, and as a result decided to close their doors. Rodan however pushed to grow, and began hiring the best of the best. We picked up some of our best superintendents and other office staff during the recession. Rodan is now stronger than ever, opening its first satellite office in Concord, CA to service our east bay projects. We are continuing the search to add to our team, and get a fresh perspective on how we can make the construction experience successful and enjoyable.
Exceeding our customers’ expectations, and the value we bring to our customers, has brought about Rodan Builders success. Our achievements are a testimony to our employees and to our executive and project management style – one that enhances the performance of every department, and encourages the individual contributions of each member of our team.
